Career profiles: Sophie Fagleman, R&D Consultant

"Having graduated with a degree in Industrial Economics from Nottingham University in 2005, I knew I wanted a career in a challenging and fast paced industry.

After travelling for a year I decided a career in Media was the path I wanted to pursue. Not only is it an exciting and creative arena to work in, but the variety it offers means there is never a dull moment.

I started my career at a media planning and buying agency but soon realised that it wasn't for me. I wanted a career where I would be at the heart of the ever changing media industry and I knew that consultancy would offer me this.

As soon as I started at Human Capital as a member of the R & D team I knew I had made the right choice. Straight away I was involved in interesting and exciting projects from the development of a new women's magazine to testing children's TV programmes to analyzing data for a social networking site.  There is a lot of variety involved in my role and one day I could be doing creative brainstorms and the next moderating focus groups, all of which are challenging yet rewarding."
