The Question:
Partly as a result of Human Capital analysis, the largest consumer
magazine publisher in the UK, IPC Media, wanted to create a
Development process which guaranteed hits and encouraged a culture
of innovation across the company
What Did We Do? Working
very closely with the Board we helped put together a department
and implement a process which could deliver big, mainstream
launches and a centralised source for redevelopment. Since then
we have been the principle suppliers of Research and Development
for all the major titles and new launches across the divisions
What Happened? In recent
years IPC Media is acknowledged for launching a series of the
most successful new consumer magazines on the newsstand, including
Look, Pick Me Up, TV Easy and Nuts. All of these titles involved
18 month+ involvement with Human Capital. A series of existing
brands have also been reinvented with Human Capital’s help,
including Woman, NME, Country Life, Marie Claire and Wallpaper*
