The Question:
How are Emap’s consumer magazine and radio businesses currently
performing? How are they likely to perform in the future?

What Did We Do? We carried
out analysis of past and current performance of every title
and radio station within Emap’s portfolio. In combination
with expert industry opinion, UK economic forecasts and media
usage forecasts, this analysis enabled us to build a detailed,
bottom-up model of future performance.

What Happened? Our analysis
helped TPG to construct its bid for Emap’s radio and consumer
magazine divisions. |
| Other recent
investor projects: We carried out a seminar on the
UK advertising market for a private equity company and helped
to identify potential targets. We supported Hg Capital with
commercial due diligence leading to its investment in Clarion
Events and, post-deal, provided strategic advice on specific
growth opportunities. |
